Meetings moved to 7pm in Gym

TOW (Troop Organizational Weekend ) is an over night-er in Aug. and Mini-TOW is a one day Feb. event. This year Mini-TOW is Feb. 9th. We will be passing out SFF (Scouting For Food) bags, OA elections, Calendar scheduling, etc. We want to have as many of the 42 scouts on our charter there as possible. The PS (permission slips) went home with the scout’s at last Tuesday’s troop meeting. Please have your son complete the form and return it by the due date. We are looking forward to setting up some fun events for the upcoming months. So parent(s), please join us in providing a fun and exciting year for our scouts.
Corrected Dates for Climbing Camp-out

Please note that the previous permission slip had incorrect dates for the climbing camp-out. The correct dates are Jan. 18th-20th. An updated permission slip has been posted with the correct dates. Christmas Caroling & Bowling

On Saturday, December 15th we will hold a multi-event day starting with bowling and ending with our annual Christmas Caroling event at area nursing homes. Between these two events will be lunch at CiCi’s Pizza. Please note that in order to bowl a scout MUST participate in the caroling afterwards.

I have the popcorn forms for this year. Mark will have them at the troop meeting on Tuesday.
Key dates to remember:
9/15 to 10/29 - Sales
10/29 (9pm ) - Order forms due to The Disque’s by 9pm on 10/29 (Monday).
10/30 - Troop consolidated order placed no later than noon.
11/10 - Pick up popcorn.
11/29 - Money due to Disque’s

The Scout Shop and Collin County Service Center are now officially open for business. They are located on the northwest corner of McDermott and Central Expressway two doors west of Staples. The address is:

The hours are as follows:
Service Center: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm and Saturday, 10am to 4pm
Scout Shop: Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri, 9am - 6pm, Thur, 9am - 8pm and Sat, 9am - 4pm
The scout shop is large with a full inventory from the BSA National Supply Division.
The Council Service Center is a great place to pick up forms as well as turn in completed forms and monies. We have been told that anything you can do down at the Council office related to scout paperwork you can do at the Collin County Service Center.
I know the staff of both the Scout Shop and the Service Center are anxious to have you stop in and say hello!
